ANGEL FALL FULL DAY
(Duration: All day or 12 hours). Departure: 5:00 a.m. Minimum 4 pax. But if you are less than 4 you can be joined to another one of our groups.
It is necessary to get up early so we go to the dining room of the camping to take something before leaving, you know. Coffee, cakes, milk and juice. already eaten, we leave in a rustic vehicle until the Port of Ucaima through a dirty road, passing through the indigenous community of Canaima where everybody is still sleeping, embark in a curiara (indigenous canoe) and sail up for 15 minutes approximately by the Carrao river until the Expresses of Mayupa (the Indian name for that place), we don’t pass them with the curiara so we walk until the other side (30 mnts. Walking of a marvellous view of the tepuyes) to turn aside the rapids return to embark to continue sailing up Carrao River. Until reach the Orquídea island and the well of the happiness (there are no Anacondas, don’t worry, those are in the Amazon), there, we will make a shutdown to have breakfast. We continue enjoying the wonderful
landscapes, bordering the so great Auyantepuy so big that it seems to be falling from the sky with the exciting torrents of the Churun River. until arriving at Ratoncito island, then in front of us already we can enjoy the SPECTACULAR AND WONDERFUL ANGEL WATERFALL, while the indigenous guides prepare the lunch in the refuge we can make an optional long walk, optional, because it is a way difficult and strong (1 hour raising/hour of return) to arrive at the Laime Viewpoint, that is the accessible part nearer to the Angel waterfall. After that we’ll have for lunch a delicious chicken, take a small rest and return to Canaima. See our page menu. There is much more ….
